Hi CalGuns!

I'm a native Californian that grew up with my dad's 10/22 and wanted an AR since I was a kid. I turned 18 in '95 right after the ban... I pretty much gave up on ever having one. I heard about OLLs in '05-ish but it seemed to new and hard to find parts at the time. I just found out about all the recent developments and the work of CalGunners a few weeks ago and bought a lower the next day. I built it 10 days later and now have the AR I always wanted. I have already read a lot of complaints on the web about bullet buttons but I see it completely differently. Hopefully someday we can take them off without driving to Oregon, but until then... THANK YOU! :)

FYI
1995 was not too late... The orig caliban was in effect, yet people were still buying AR & AK weapons even as late as 1999.

Welcome

Absolutely! For those of us born to late to get an EBR before the ban, the OLL movement is a godsend.:13:

You're right, but I was in the Navy then...

Thanks everyone, already learned a lot here!
