I'm looking for another reason to buy another lever action!

It must have:
stainless steel / nickel or any similar finish
Octagon barrel

then, Not chambered in .22 or .45LC (have). perhaps .357/.38, .44mag, or a rifle round. What rifle round would people suggest as very common and fairly inexpensive if there are any for an octagon barrel lever.

I own an 1894 Cowboy lever, blued with octagon barrel, and love that. But I always coveted the Rossi's in stainless.

Oh also I intend to use the gun for killing paper and pure joy of firing a lever action. which is AWESOME!!

Now I see Rossi brought back the R92 (stainless/octagon) I just wonder, what are my options with other manufacturers before I spring on a Rossi?? It looks like (for 2011) Marlin, Winchester, Savage, Mossberg, Cimarron do not make one.

I just bought an M1A in .308 so a .308 lever would be great, but I doubt with my req's anyone makes one.

I will call stevesgunz.com and ask him what he suggests.

Are there any other options I'm not privvy to?

I guess there arent that many options. Only one I can find with an octagon barrel in stainless is the Rossi 92, will go .38/.357 instead of .44 special/.44 mag I guess. Now to call steves gunz to price one out.
