What company makes 308 lowers/uppers? I want to do a 308 build but want something top quality.

I went with a POF. I like it because it uses AR-15 lpk and it has an ambidextrous bolt release. Kind of limited on what kind of uppers you can get but if you have the cash to go with a POF gas piston upper it's a pretty sweet setup.

Does that mean "unlimited/money no object" budget? Receivers will be the body of the build, but the quality of the barrel will be the heart of the system

Larue? Who is an authorized dealer in California. I herd they don't send lowers to anyone.

You just need to contact your FFL and have them send their info to LaRue with your name and address attached so they can match it to your order and they will send it. Didn't see anything about not sending to CA on their website.

I can't believe no one has brought this up, but to answer your question you have to know whether you want a DPMS style lower or an Armalite style lower?

Unless something changed recently, Fulton will not ship their lowers to California despite being off-list.

Personally, if I were on an unlimited budget I'd be running with Iron Ridge.
