Joe - I buy mine from cheaper then dirt. They always have an ample supply.

Its cheap and accurate out of my M39. And its non corrosive (Im just too lazy to do the extra cleaning). If you want a GREAT deal check this out..

Internet is easiest.

I like ammunitiontogo.com

Aim surplus, ammoman, and buymilsurp.com. Stay away from brown bear 7.62x54r if shooting it in a mosin. Cases will get stuck.

They do but, they want I think 15 bucks or so for 20rds paper bagged surplus....ouch!

How much (20rds, 100rds or 440rds) and what type of ammo (Barnul, Winchester, milsurp)....that will make a big difference in my recomendation as to where to aquire it.

I'm there weekly and they haven't had it for months. Big 5 has some... noncorrosive steel case for $14 and some change. Otherwise, internet is the best (and cheapest) way to go.

River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento has 20rds for $6.49. Probably the same old corrosive '80s Russian surplus that you can find online for cheaper.

Online.
What gun are you shooting?
If it is a PSL:
Russian is best followed by Bulgy...Pass on Albanian.

ammoengine.com

Enter the caliber, and it gives you the lowest price and the link. Otherwise, Big 5 or sometimes Walmart.

Cheapest I've found it including shipping is sgammo.com

Bought 880 rounds for around $158 shipped.
