Guys I just had to share this story with you. It actually happened a few days back at Grizzly Island. I was in the reservation line and at about 3am this guy show up in the sweat line with his tweaker brother from Marin County. We were all getting into our waders and this guy starts duct taping garbage bags to his jeans. Naturally I'm thinking, "WTF?".

Around 5:45am or so I'm just about ready to roll and I've got my decoys set up when I notice this guy and his crazy brother in the garbage bags are setting up at the pond next to me. As he starts to walk into the pond in his garbage bags he exclaims, "WHOA it's cold!".

Before long a group of honkers starts flying in my general direction. He starts shouting "LU-LU-LU-LU-LU" and everyone tells him to shut the heck up. He just proclaims, "I'm calling them"! Yeah... calling them to the next county!

Anyone else encounter anything like this? Not just duck hunting, let's hear your amateur stories :)!

One time I was duck hunting and I missed my bird, and this dog stood up from out of the brush and started to laugh at me. I swear I've never been so mad in all my life.

Seriously though, I don't hunt but that is a pretty funny story.

REALLY!?My older brother and I were there a few days ago also.

Do you mean shouting "LU-LU-LU-LU-LU" isn't the way to call ducks??? That's how the guy at the gun shop said to do it.
