Hi all,

Just looking for pros and cons to each rifle. I have shot the FN2k, and also own the airsoft version so I'm familiar and comfortable with the style. The SCAR, I held one at the local store, and thought it was sweet, but have never shot one. Read reviews, watched videos of both, etc.,...

So, if you guys could only choose one, which would it be and why? My "distant 3rd" (primarily cause I could buy a ton of ammo with the savings - would be the CX4).

I have an LR308 - avatar... also have another chambered in a .22 (son's gun). So, want something a bit different, but not sure which of these to go with...

Thx all,

Chib

I'd go FN, with the CX4 being second.

I love my SCAR 16s, shoots like a dream and some guys do some amazingly long shots with them.

So your going with both the FN's :D

I don't know much about the 2000 except its bullpup and looks really ugly I know on bullpup's the triggers usually are crappier. I have a SCAR 16 which has a crappy trigger too compared to my AR's. I shot the SCAR in the desert thursday to today and my impressions of it are good seems reliable and it is accurate I was hitting a 6" steel circle at 200 all day long prone and most of the time standing. I had no failures but I didn't have any failures with my AR either which I actually still prefer over the SCAR different thread.

I've got a 17S and I just fired my brother in law's 16S for the first time today. Non-existent recoil with the stock muzzle break. Unpleasant to stand behind, but wow what a fun rifle to shoot. Very different compared to the beast that is the SCAR H.

The fn is a pain to get into ca because of its oal. I kinda want one anyway because it ejects cases forward unlike the msar.

I have no experience with either but the SCAR looks better IMO.

I didn't know there was a maglock for FN2000's I would go with one of those!

I like how people keep saying "the" FN. This thread is about two different FN's.

Have an FS2000; love it & would recommend it. If only it could be made to easily change calibers.

Haven't shot any version of the SCAR, and I honestly don't plan on going out of my way to find one or try one out.

SCAR only interests me in 7.62, so do the 2000.

I have an LR10 / 7.62 rifle already, so focusing in a .223....

What do you guys like about YOUR FN2k or Scar? Just wondering if the bullpup would get old?? Then again, it's very different from my .308...

If you buy the 17s you'll be a master at finding cheap ammo websites!
