Maybe Im asking a dumb Question but why such a large price increase for an AR10 lower? I cant imagine that the material costs exceed that of a std ar15 lower...

Most .308 lowers are constructed of Billet versus a forged lower receiver

Same question was asked last week-

Oh.. That does kinda make sense but for example a Aero Precision ar15 lower 75 bucks, Aero Precision ar10 lower 290.00.

Is the manufacturing process that more complicated?

I'll take a guess and say that it has something to do with quantity & demand.

Many are billet, which is always more expensive because billet aluminum and the machining process are more expensive for that route. Forged AR10 lowers are more expensive because people pay for them. Supply and demand.

Supply and demand If EVERYONE made an 308ar lower, even in billet. Price would drop

Here is one company that is not in it just to gouge the consumer.

Tactical Machining gets my vote.

DPMS style lower for $229.
