Who makes a reliable 7.62 x 39 upper. Where can I find a good deal?

Well, perhaps when you decide to actually use complete sentences, you might get better answers... In the mean time, you might look at AR15 Performance, as they make both parts and uppers that are good quality. Their prices aren't bad either.

I have a Bushmaster upper and it runs like a sewing machine. It suprised me with it's accuracy as well.

The Bushmaster upper from Mark's Armory is a great price, and runs smoothly for my buddy.

I've purchased several things from Mark @ Mark'sArmory.com .They ship everything out lightning fast, and they provide great customer service!

If there were better mags available I'd take the plunge, but the c in c products stands for crap. They went under anyway. Hopefully the investment company that bought them out will make a better mag. I have a drawer full of 5.45x39 crap product mags that don't work.

But 7.62x39 is fairly accurate in the platform. Mags are the only issue. In cali probably not as bad, but in other states we want 20 and 30 rounders.

I owned a 7.62x39mm AR platform, everything was great except the magazine.

Mine is great- even the mags... I loose an extractor about ever 1500rds. Keep a pack of them around.

Got the upepr from Delton- Under $500.

The c-products 7.62x39 mags are supposed to be the most reliable in these AR's. I have a bunch of them with no issues at all to date.

I had a model 1 7.62x39 upper, 20", float tube, and it is reliable with 10 round C-product mags and shoots about 2 MOA with Yugo surplus, 1.75 MOA with hornady 150 grain soft point handloads

Same here. I have used both their 10 rounders, and some of their higher cap ones when I was running it featureless. They all ran just fine. I have had issues with some plastic 10 round magazines I got from Midway a while back. They would jam on the 10th round every time. But the C-products ones worked great.

I have a Bushmaster upper. Out of the box it was not reliable at all, when using cheap Russian steel cased ammo. I solved this however, and it is now 100% reliable. See my thread on the topic (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=360194).

C products is gone anyway. They were horrible with qc. Some mags were good, and alot were bad. I'm glad to see them gone. I hope the new company cleaned house, and can consistently put out good mags.

I had Parallax Tactical build me a 7.62 upper for $600. It was custom built though. I do know they got the bolt faces ground down to fire wolf ammo.

The uppers are fine, it's the reliability of the mags which I hear is the problem.

Does anyone know if there are any vendors that actually have the Bushmaster 7.62x39 upper in-stock? Been looking for weeks and every site I go to is out of stock. Called a few places and they said they hadn't had any in-stock for some time and don't expect any until maybe mid-may/june time frame... I'm kind of considering getting the Olympic Arms 7.62x39 as I can find it in stock at a lot of places it has a stainless steel barrel. Anyone have any experiance with the Olympic Arms 7.62x39 upper or their AR rifles for that matter? I've been reading that the quality of their AR's really isn't all that great but most of those threads/links on the internet are from 2003-2006... Any recent first hand experiance?

Thanks,
Fred R.

I have 5 AR in 7.62x39 , rifle and pistol the issue is in the mag. not with the gun. Bought several mag and used the one that work. All are CP , check the spring and the ff. I've been using the yugo. ammo with no problem .
