Say I was to install an adjustable gas block onto a PSL; the type you have to use a screw driver to adjust from no gas to wide open. As long as I leave it the screw in the closed position (rendering the PSL single shot) do I need to worry about a magazine lock etc?

Why not just remove gas piston?

Technically you'd be ok, but IMO you'd be asking for trouble.

Why not just remove gas piston?

Pain in the @ss is why. I have a PSL build in mind and the ability drive across the CA border, adjust the gas block screw, and I'm read to rock; is very appealing.

Also, the ability to adjust the gas system for different types of ammo (when out of state or when a mag lock is installed) is also very cool.

It would be nice to have one combloc rifle, configured as indended, without the that stupid mag lock.
