I finally received my new safe today. A Winchester R19. New for 2011 is the door organizer which is pretty nice.

I saw the Cannon on sale at Costco, but the internal hinges were a deal killer for me.
The Winchester is a very nice safe for the price ($779). Seems pretty well built for being Chinese made. If your looking for an under $1k safe, it's worth taking a look at this one.

Nice looking safe. I hope it gives you many years of secure use. Where did you buy it from?

I got it from gunsafes.com. They had it at $879, but now they've raised it up to $899. They also had a shotshow promo coupon code which has now expired for $100 off. Final price delivered when I purchased a few weeks ago was $779

Questions for you:

1) How much does it weigh?

2) Did that door storage come with it, or did you have to buy it separate?

3) Are the bolts on the hinge side passive or active bolts?

4) Did you drill a hole in the back? (It looks like there is a hole, don't know if it was there or if you drilled it.)

I am looking at getting one very similar, so I was just curious and it seems to look different on the site.

Nice but if your like me you'll outgrow that size safe quickly. Don't forget to add an electric humidifier to keep things rust free.

4) Did you drill a hole in the back? (It looks like there is a hole, don't know if it was there or if you drilled it.) Came pre-drilled

Close your garage man until you get that thing bolted down and disguised!

Not a bad deal if you got it delivered too. Looks similar to ones I've seen sold through Sam's Club and Tractor Supply but they don't deliver as far as I know.
Don't worry about possibly out growing your new safe. IF that happens you can almost certainly sell it on craigslist or quite possibly to someone you know. Or, use it to lock-up your ammo and get a bigger safe for the guns. Thats what I did.
