View Full Version : GFSZ Private Property Exemption using PC602?

Here is a question... I ask because I live about 600 feet from a school.

I have no gates surrounding the front of my property (common suburban home style fencing) so I am in violation of the GFSZ if I walk out of my garage with a weapon.

This is due to the area being considered "publicly accessible private property" correct?

If I post a sign that states "Private Property No Trespassing", at the start of my driveway (Not taking into account utility easement issues), then I would think that my UN-GATED property is no longer publicly accessible right?

Would this exempt my driveway from being under the GFSZ?

It's more like 'prosecutors of ill intent might claim you were in violation' for the reason you note, but that could indeed be a problem.

'Posting' the property does not seem to do the job; see this Wiki article - http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Unlicensed_Concealed_Carry#Semi_Public_Places_Rest rictions - especially Strider.
