refering to the above pic, can i install some type of rail between the 12 and 9 o'clock position; where the circles are machined out of the handguard?

If so, offer your suggestions. It'll be used to mount a G2 light.

Thank you

how about just using a Viking Tactics flashlight mount (or gear sector) that will put the flashlight in that same position? those mounts will bolt up to the existing picatinny rail mounts.

I dont see the point of trying to reinvent the wheel.

Edit: Yeah, :iagree:, much better suggestion!

You can try something like this, they come in different lengths:

The problem is these were designed for plastic handguards so I'm not sure if the nuts are large enough to not slip through the holes on your rail. If they are, a washer of the right size may make it work.

i need the light to maintain a low profile and it wont fit in the unit with stuff at the 3 an 9 o'clock positions.

what do you mean wont fit in the unit? Have you even looked at the gear sector mounts? they're about as low profile as they come.

Too late I guess if you already ordered, but here's another suggestion- a 45 degree offset rail for $10

They do look nice, outta my price range but I'll keep an eye out in the market place. Ty rareair, I'll keep that in mind if the other rail doesn't work out.
