Is it really legal for CA DOJ to determine what fire arm CA resident can/cannot have? If the resident of surrounding states CAN, why not CA resident? 1911 has 49 pieces, why one is okay and the next is not, what's the justification for denial? CA resident is deprived from their right to have other could for no good reason! This is really the Communist Socialist State of California where the State Government determines what its citizen could/could not do!

Come on now - you live here. Do you really expect the CA firearm laws to make any sense at all?

It's absolutely legal.

It's a restriction on CA-licensed FFLs; the state can impose restrictions on its licensees.

The law does not prevent possession or transfer of handguns not on the Roster, except by those CA-licensed FFLs.

It's completely without value, except to politicians trying to get re-elected.
