Ok, I want a bipod for occasional bench shooting, or other scenarios where a lightweight bipod can be used. NO GRIP PODS....... My common sense tells me that the Harris 1A2-BRM is the one to get? I don't want swivel, and I think 6"-9" is sufficient. I think the American Defense QD lever mount is probably the most cost effective tooless mount that is a quality piece? Plus, the small Harris weights only 10oz. I just can't see going HUGE like the TD or the VLTOR systems, Versa-pods are overpriced, and the Bobro and GG&G seems like MORE than I need. The Atlas V8 looks nice, but again over $200. Thoughts?

Standard Harris 6-9" with leg notches is the one I like on my AR. Any bipod mount will do, but if you want a QD the ADM is the way to go.

That's fine or if your cheap UTG has similar for half the price.

I bought the same model with LaRue mount. Might have gone with another mount, but didn't feel right buying another brand. I know. Dumb. But if I hadn't done that, I'd be haunted by my decision for the rest of my days for not just getting the one that matches the gun. Perfect bipod for a carbine.
