I hope that I'm way off base but, should this guy be offering to give legal advise?

No he shouldn't!

But his opinion is no more legal advise as yours or mine! Sucks somtimes. If he tries to push it as such then hell....I think you have the ability to challenge it on this forum. At least from the legal standpoint!
I had a questionable veiw of the Saiga mag cap law and was told otherwise by SJgunguy, I tried to get clairification from him (but couldn't) I read and re read the laws he steered me towards, nothing could confirm his standpoint. On the otherhand I do respect his knowlege and sent both an Email and a papermail to the Batfe....recieved no response...untill I do on the matter, I will take his advise.

There's no doubt he has some outdated knowledge of what constitutes a fixed magazine...but that's no crime.

I think he is not practicing what he preaches, since it sounds like he is not up to speed on what are fixed and detachable magazines.

He takes umbrage at someone who discusses the law in a way other than he would like. Well thank you, but we are all big boys and can have a dialogue regarding the law any way we like. And just skip over his verbiage.

If you are going to allude to a television show, I would request that you PLEASE cite it properly.
