I saw a bit from another forum. Looks like CT is voting on banning hi-cap mags. Not only will they ban them, they're giving residents 90 days to turn them in. No grandfather rule. Anyone with any knowledge on this I'd love to hear it. I thought CA was bad.

Here's the link to the thread I found this on. http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=445253
They included some of the bill:

8 (b) Any person who possesses a large capacity magazine shall be
9 guilty of a class D felony.
10 (c) Any person who (1) prior to the effective date of this section,
11 lawfully possessed a large capacity magazine, and (2) not later than
12 ninety days after the effective date of this section, removes such
13 magazine from this state or surrenders such magazine to an organized
14 local police department or the Department of Public Safety for
15 destruction, shall not be subject to prosecution for a violation of
16 subsection (b) of this section.http://www.cga.ct.gov/2011/TOB/s/pdf...094-R00-SB.pdf

Wow, that's ridiculous. People consistently focus on the wrong thing. I guess because it's easy to do.

Here is the actual bill:

I really can't believe how this is legal. They are seizing property and destroying it without any compensation that I can find. I can't find anywhere saying whether this passed or not yet.
