I picked up a nice one from Liberty Safes in San Jose. Guy who works there is real friendly... gun owner, nra member, used to be an FLL. Has lots to talk about. Cost was about $700 without delivery, I have a friend with a truck and a dolly that can take 700lbs so we did all the moving ourselves.

Anyway I moved it into my place this weekend and thought I'd take some pictures for all to see...

And here it is with my mini-14 resting comfortably inside.

Keep those pictures, it will never be so empty or clean again... unless you're abnormal. :)

I agree about the guy @ Liberty in SJ, very friendly and helpful.

I agree about the guy @ Liberty in SJ, very friendly and helpful.

His name is Alan Hills, and he knows his biz. Great guy.

I'd bet his huge collection of autographed photos of notables is worth a lot - and I hope those aren't originals that are displayed!

Hahaha... better remove all those partitions, now.

No safe is ever big enough.

The mini looks lonely.

Very nice! I see you have some important papers tucked away, too.

Just make sure you keep two or so copies of the combination hidden in the house. A friend of mine just forgot his combination, and can't remember where it's written down, either. He's renovating his house, and lost the little paper.
