Well I finally got my San Bernardino BLM map. Heres the most reasonable distance from my house. Has anyone been here before? I can't imagine where it is in relation to the fish and game club out there. Thanks

Those BLM lands look AWFULLY limited in size! My bet is that they aren't open for shooting, especially since they are so close to populated areas and main highways.

Just because it's BLM doesn't mean that there aren't any "restrictions"! Remember, several BLM areas were "closed" for recreational shooting for awhile, due to someone killing a desert tortoise. They also have "closures" during the fire season. Also, the BLM has to adhere to state, county and even municipal regulations in most cases. Isn't San Berdoo very restrictive?

While it SEEMS nice to drive a short distance to get to those BLM areas, you had better verify if they have been "approved" for shooting purposes.

I think Inland fish and games is actually located in right yellow spot in 2nd pic.
I have a membership to that range, pretty nice.

saw ur post at gunscal. Ted's got it covered.
I don't know about the land around CSSB, but the bottom pic(same posted over at gunscal) is Devil's Canyon. The reservoir is for the housing tracts. There's a filtration plant there, lots of bike/horse trails. The housing tract's been there since the late 80's and currently more of that area(east of Lytle Creek) is being developed.

Do you know of any place BLM or non BLM land that is legal to shoot at least shotguns in the area? Thanks

Hi corn,
on the west side of 15fwy, there's an area called the chicken farm(used to be a chicken farm). It's near the foothills around those timber/construction equipment u see off of the fwy. There's dove, quail and occasional phesants there. I can ask and see if they're willing to share the spot?

I don't know of any BLM spots. Only 1 I've hear is near the 15/Bakerfield split.

If ur looking 4 a place 2shoot try West End Gun Club (http://www.wegc.org/) at Lytle Creek. It's nice and clean, not crowded, metal targets(rifle and handguns), lots of old timers friendly with gun talk and knowledge. Open to public on weekends and anytime to members. They've got 600yrd matches and action pistol events. CamWong on this board is an active member there. U do need a truck or a car with high clearance to cross the rocks. Give it a try:)

Yea...is it you friends that use the spot? I'd like somewhere local to shoot clays. Thanks. I wouldn't mind paying for a gun club, but I like being alone with close friends having a good time eating, and laughing and shooting at trash (which we clean up after we are done). Lemme know. I pmed you.
