Not sure if this is right place to ask, but I will be putting several of my centerfire rifles up for sale shortly and what is the right processes after a sale is done. Do I just ship to a FFL they chose or do I take gun to local FFL and have it shipped. I have never sold firearm and want to stay legal. Again, sorry for post if this is the wrong forum.

If it's a local sale, you can do a PPT and most gunstores, if you have to ship, within CA it's FFL to FFL, outside of CA is just the FFL.

Great, Thanks! Also, if anyone knows any good store in L.A or Ventura county that will buy them back and not play games (fair on price), please let me know.

I don't think "fair price" really comes with selling guns back to dealers. They have to make money on the deal in the end. Just sell it PTP and you'll get your fair price.

agree, selling guns to a dealer is a last ditch effort to get some money. selling them on consignment is just as bad since the shop owner wants a cut too.

sell it person to person and one of you pay the FFL to do the transfer of pwnership.
