Received from my Father who in turn received from my grandfather. For insurance purposes how much you all think it may be work. It is in great condition minor wear on metal butt-stock strap.

Since it is an irreplacable heirloom, it's hard to say. As a firearm, it's probably not worth much more than a new one. I'm going to take a wild guess and value it at around $400 for insurance purposes. But, do not take my word on it. I'm sure that there are '66s on the market for $100-$200 too.

They're worth more in sentimental value. Your used value will be as indicated above, $1-200.

The old ones are really desireable - I'd agree with Cannon in that put it at 400 for ins. -
