Where is info / recommendations for judges? Two seats in the CA Supreme Court, Joyce L Kennard and Carol A. Corrigan, are up.
Also, I have 12 nominees for Appellate Courts and a choice of two for a Superior Court perch.
I'm voting NO on all bond measures. I'm sure some of them are "good", but I don't care... California has more than enough money to play with. Letting them borrow more is just going to land us deeper in debt, and some of them are going to pass.

I have a Republican endorsement sheet that goes all the way down to elementary school districts and public utility districts. According to it:
Joyce Kennard - Yes
Carol Corrigan - No
It doesn't explain why. It only gives a 'yay' or 'nay'.
I have to admit that I don't much care what the Republican party has to say... they were officially against Prop 77, and I'm less than happy with King George and "neo-conservatism" every day.
If we don't find a 2A (or another good, specific) reason to vote one way or another, I'll just sit them out.

Frankly, I feel sorry for the people in district 61. A extreme right winger....or an extreme left winger? hmmm.

Is there any more information on the following judges?:
-James Marchiano
-Sandra Margulies
-Paul Haerle
-James Richman
-William McGuiness
-Peter Siggins
-Ignazio Jon Ruvolo
-Patricia Sepulveda
-Maria Rivera
For many of our battles in the state, it comes down to the interpretation of laws to enforce or deny CA citizen gun rights...... Reference to pro 2A on these would be helpful if anybody has the info.

Here's some info for those who are voting.

Oooooook...just trying to be informative.
[backs away slowly without any sudden moves...]
My fault. I forgot where I was for a minute and the caliber of person I was dealing with. Vote Democrat.
Stop being silly.
All judgeships are non-partisan. There is no "Republican" or "Democrat" to vote for.
If there was, then yeah... in the absence of any other information, you're a little more likely to get the candidate who isn't quite as bad by voting R instead of D. But voting for a judge for no other reason than one party says yay or nay? Come on... that "recommendation' with no support is meaningless. It might be over abortion. It might be over a perceived stance on drug legalization. It might be based on who showed up to what cocktail party.
All I'm saying is, I want info about where these judges stand on issues. Especially Supreme Court Justices. If I don't have that info, I'd rather not vote at all instead of taking the chance that my coin flip counteracts an informed vote from someone who does know who they're voting for and why.
Let me know when the Republican Party says why they support one and not the other. Until then, that recommendation means nothing.

I do remember seeing most judges were elected by Republican governors, Wilson and Deukajimian....the latter did sign the 89' ban.

Call them up and ask them. I'm sure you're important enough for them to drop everything and painstakingly explain everything they do.
Have a ball.
If you want to blindly follow the Republican Party, enjoy yourself.
And the fact that they can't be bothered to explain themselves speaks volumes.
The Republican party is not our friend. They're just not quite as bad as the Democrats. But hey... that detracts from your black-and-white view of the world, doesn't it? So you just ignore everything and always vote the R and see where that gets you.

Absolutely!
See Governator
See http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_rating_detail.php?sig_id=003284M
you find quite a few Democrats with A and B ratings.
However.... In PRK democrat = antigun almost universaly the truth ( with some notable exceptions like Joe Baca of all people )
However I think he is the only one....

This is rapidly degenerating into a flame war. I'm not going to lock it right now, but consider it a single warning.
Let's get back on topic: I would also like to see a good source of voting guides with explainations as to why folks are saying to vote for one candidate or the other.
Can we drop all the personal attacks and just get back to the core interests?
