Sen.McClintock is running neck & neck with
his Democratic opponent. Please make sure you vote
for him. The big money unions are getting behind
the Dems choice for Lt Gov spending loads to get
his message across. Sen.Tom is getting by from
us little guys and I'm some big money ops, but
nowhere near the big unions..They're bailing on
Aneglides..Ck it out and lets help Sen.Tom.

AroundTheCapitol.com: California State Capitol, Legislative and Political News and Information (http://www.aroundthecapitol.com/)

"The unions have committed to spending $750,000 to $1 million in the race, according to Steve Smith, the political consultant for the labor group. The ad buy comes at a time when Garamendi has seen his lead over McClintock dwindle to two percentage points in the most recent Field Poll."

"'We don't want [McClintock] to be a viable candidate for governor,' Smith said."

"It's no secret that state Sen. Tom McClintock (http://www.aroundthecapitol.com/LG/Elections/) and California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi (http://www.aroundthecapitol.com/LG/Elections/) believe their rightful title should be governor (http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/california/la-me-ltgov13oct13,1,774138.story?coll=la-headlines-pe-california)," reports Paul Pringle in the Times.

"But they would be content to have it cluttered with 'lieutenant' for at least the next four years."

"'It puts Tom in training if he's going to be governor in 2010,' said Shawn Steel, former Republican Party state We can help get him in. Doing so just might set up him
for the Gov's chair in the future.

I voted for the Governator, Tom, the Pooch and a bunch of libertarians. I just need to get some stamps and then send out my ballot.

McClintock has acheived a record number of single donors and is competitve in fundraising with his opponent.

this means that he has recived so many small donations, under $100 from real people that he has actually matched the unions donations to his competitor.

With McClintock, your $25, $50 or whatever is actually keeping him in this fight for real.

Recent polling is scaring the Dems. This means their allies are going to likely shift resources from Angleides to down ticket candidates and McClintock is at the top of their target list.

I try to to avoid politicking on this forum, but anything and everythign you can do for McClintock in this home stretch could really make the difference. He's doing so well right now that the opponents are definetly retargeting their guns.

His Campaign has an innovative grassroots program available on line here (http://www.tommcclintock.net/onlinehq.html)

and you can donate herehttp://www.tommcclintock.net/donate.htm

Im partial to the collateral material (http://victorystore00.stores.yahoo.net/mcclintock.html).

California Republican Assembly has a very cool program where you can actually down load voter lists (http://www.victoryteam2006.com/index.html) in your area, and print materials!

Tom McCintock lost the 2002 State Controller Race by barely a point.

He was outspent by wild margins by Steve Westly and Bill Simon was his party's ticket topper (who ran a disappointing race against Davis).

this year, McClintock looks like he may be neck and neck in spending and this party's ticket topper is in a huge lead over angleides. This lack of charismatic candidate could depress the dems turnout and help put McC over the top.

This is a must win in my book.

thanks for listening.
