Hey guys im just wondering what would be the major differences between these two rifles. Im that all that familiar with these two rifles so im just looking to compare them. Ive always heard great things about the 700 especially in the accuracy dept but havent heard all that much about the 770 good or bad. Is the 770 just not a very well made gun? Is that why it costs so much less generally? thanks guys.

If you want a cheap close-range hunting rifle, then by all means, get the 770. If you want quality, accuracy, and want to possibly "reach out" further, then spend a few more dollars, get the 700, and don't look back.

I've never owned or shot a770, but I've not seen a whole lot of praise for them. And it just feels cheap compared to my 700.

The difference is between the Chevrolet Z71 and the Chevy Luv minitruck.

In the 1970's GM came out with it's lowest priced, economy mini pickup. That is the Remington 710/770.
