This is driving me nuts!

I must be an idiot but I cant figure this out. I have a Butler Creek Easy Rider Sling, and Uncle Mikes swivels on my mossy 500. I cand figure out how to loop the nylon through the swivel. I've looked on Youtube and Butler creeks website with no luck.

There are loops sewn into each end of the nylon. The buttstock has a loop and its threaded through which doesnt make sense to me. I guess I could loop it through the swivel but I can't figure out how to undo it all.

Can someone interpret these directions into plain english?

That sling has too many features for a simple person like me.

Take the barrel off of the shotgun. Take the closed loop end of the sling, pictured with brown leather backing, and slide the end of the barrel into the loop. Slide the loop forward until it contacts the front barrel lug. Re-install the barrel. The sling loop is now attached to the barrel....thread the end into the sling buckle. Thread the other end of the sling into the rear sling swivel and then into the rear buckle. Both ends now attached. Remove the front sling swivel, its not needed on this set-up.

The front of the sling will get caught up in the pump handle, maybe causing a short stroke.

Tag to await a better option.

The instructions are for a different model sling. That sling is for use without swivels. And not recommended for door breacher barrels, as that sling would go around the breacher.

Ooooooohhhhhhhhh. Now I see. I purchased the wrong sling. It said shotgun sling but now see that it is described as a slip-over loop design.

I think I have the wrong shotgun set up for this like bussda said.Funny that the directions that come with it are for a swivel setup.

So my options are: 1. break out a sewing kit 2. sell it to somebody who wants it and buy the right one.

Anyone want it? $13 shipped.

It actually might be fun to customize it by sewing some loops.

Thanks for the help guys.
