Hey everyone, i am going to order some 10-round 5.56 magazines today, but had a few questions first:

I did a quick google search and found a .pdf from magpul and it shows a new magazine, the "pmag 5 | 10 | 15".

http://www.magpul.com/assets/files/2010Catalog/2-PMAG.pdf

The description is:
"mIssIon: (5.56 NATO/.223 Remington) The PMAG 5/10/15 is
durable, lightweight, 5, 10, or 15-round polymer magazine for
sporting applications in AR15-pattern rifles.

descrIptIon: Utilizing the proven PMAG 20 straight body design,
the 5/10/15 round PMAG features a capacity-limiting lock
plate that can be set by the user to inhibit round capacity.
Intended for commercial sporting use only"

This sounds like you can change the capacity. The magazines have to be permanently 10-rounds right? Are these new magazines CA legal?

If not, where is a good place to get well made 10/20 pmags?

Thanks!

Both good vendors, and calgun supporters. I just ordered some mags from Calegalmags and they shipped same day as I placed order and came in 2 days.

I'm not sure if they have been shipped and sold to us consumers yet. It is nice to see that magpul is not one of those companies that raise their noses to us Californians, but I hope they have looked into our laws enough to realize that these need to be shipped as parts kits so that we can purchase them here and build them as permenant 10/30 round magazines.

Another +1 to magpul.

Riflegear is GTG

Check out MidwestPX (http://midwestpx.com/) as well.

EDIT: Just checked out the Magpul site. Looks like they have 3 different part numbers for 5, 10, 15 round magainzes so I hope that means we can order the 10/20 round magazines directly from the store now.
