Just saw this at Palmetto. Looks to be similar to the M2/M3 line.

Not bad for ~$400.

The Aimpoint PRO Patrol Rifle Optic's front lens utilizes a unique band-pass coating, which allows the sight to be used with all generations of night vision devices. The modular QRP2 mount includes a removable spacer that indexes the sight at the optimal height for co-witness with the standard iron sights on AR15/M16/M4 Carbine style weapons. This spacer can be removed to enable the use of the sight on police shotguns or sub-machine guns. The QRP2 mount for the PRO Optic also incorporates a torque-limiting twist knob that provides the optimal level of pressure on the rail while completely eliminating the possibility of over-tightening. Both the PRO Optic's front and rear lenses are recessed within the sight body to provide protection against impact damage, scratches, and fingerprints.

Flip covers are included to further protect the lenses, and a transparent rear lens cover is utilized allowing the user to engage a target with the lens covers closed in a emergency situation. A two Minute of Angle (2 MOA) red dot is utilized to allow maximum accuracy at all distances and under all environmental conditions.

Nice package. Aimed at the LE market to combat the EoTech price point. My understanding is that only Aimpoint LE dealers will get this one.

Looking forward to getting mine. As much as I like my H1 on my FAL, I prefer the larger tube of my M4S that I have on my M4 midlength. With this, I've got the larger tube, a 2MOA dot, and a quick release mount. Should mount nice an low once that spacer is removed. :)

I'm surprised this came out priced at $400. They're basically undercutting the price of the M/ML 2/3 line, all of which cost more than this.

I am definately ordering one to replace my Eotech on my Bushmaster 5.56. Looks like Aimpoint is the ticket! They are far more durable than an Eotech.

Hopefully Greensupply gets them soon, because the price will be closer to $350

Do those do anything that this one doesn't?

I only found out about the item when I created this thread, so I don't know the difference between this and the others.

However, I did read that "the Aimpoint PRO is pretty much a COMP M3." - http://www.gunblog.com/aimpoint-pro/

Is that is true, this is a pretty good deal, the M3 sells for ~$550 without a mount.

LOL, same here. I'm sitting on a spare Aimpoint R1 from the Midway deal as it is.

I have a small blurb about the PRO in my 2011 SHOT Show after action report: http://www.ocabj.net/?p=1560

A bit dated since vendors are now getting more info on the actual product.

As I recall they have a much longer battery life(although when you're talking about the difference between 30,000 hours and 50,000 hours, who cares).

Botach is selling it for $400 with free ARMS 71R flip up sight and KZ Scorpion defense pen! Seems to be a real fair price!

Nice think about the Aimpoints is you always leave them 'on' and the batery lasts for years!

Great deal! I was really considering getting an Eotech 516/517 until I saw this thread. Now I'm not sure which one I want.

Really good price! but be careful! I had a rough experience with them in the past, but others have had good experiences. Just be sure to stay on top of your order and contact them immediately if you think something is off with your order!

Yes, I have had problems with them as well. I waited 4 weeks for an order and nothing arrived. I called and they told me everything was on backorder and did not have a delivery date. They never informed me. I had a second order which never arrived. I called customer service and they said there was no record of my order!!! Their customer service is not the best by any stretch!

Bad finger!!! Back to keeping my nose clean (I don't know why, my dad was OCD about nasal cleanliness.).

Sorry, MSRP was 440, Botach sells for 400 plus frees shipping and goodies and the tax brings it back to 439.
