Anyone have one of these things? I used to have one years ago when I was 10 or so and remember my dad getting it at a gun show for around $150. Now I see them going for $700+ on gunbroker. I'd love to see some pictures if anyone has one.

The survival gun? Yes. Odd looking gun but it kinda cool to shoot. Mine is .22 Hornet and .410 gauge. It breaks down in two pieces and has a storage compartment in the stock for extra bullets and shells.

I have one with a serial number under 1,000. Bought it new in the early 80's.

Fun little rifle.

Someone had posted a pic of theirs with a paracord fore-end. I'd love to learn how to replicate it.

How much did you end up selling it for?

I think I sold mine for like $100 unfortunately. But that was like 12 years ago.

I found some old pics I took of mine.
The first is how I got it with the scope mount, factory sling and bag.

Second pic is after I done a wrap job with olive green paracord. The black and white thing coming into the frame of the picture is my cat. She like me, likes guns and she always want to be in the pictures with them. The back stock has a flip up lid that holds extra .22 Hornet and .410 shells.

If anyones interested in selling one or trading let me know. I don't have much money now but I've got some non gun related items I'd be willing to trade.

Did anyone see the 2012 buyers guide in guns magazine (i think that was the name)? I was flipping through the single shot rifle section out of curiosity and they had the scout featured. Im wondering if this is a misprint or if theyre really producing them again. I emailed springfield but got no response.

So, wanna get together at Oaktree sometime and laugh at each other trying to shoot trap with or M6s. Mine looks just like yours.

Thatd be... Interesting. Especially with the .410 barrel underneath. Let me know how it works out.

Wouldn't shoot .410 out it, strictly .22LR

Wouldn't that defeat the whole idea of this gun?

Btw here is mine. I absolutely love this thing

Not really. Collapsible .22 with a suppressor would be a pretty hand BOB/survival rifle.
