I seen a full auto AR 15 BCG for sale and I have a few questions. First, would changing the BCG to one that was for a full auto gun make the gun full auto? If so, how is it legal to sell a full auto BCG? Thanks

No. That's why it's legal. A FA rated BCG has a little more material in the rear section as well as a fully shrouded firing pin. Some SA BCGs have this latter feature.

i believe you need a lower with the right parts in it.

yea but if you use that reasoning

all lower full auto parts but for the selector which will hold down the disconnector and possibly cause a slamfire string

a full auto hammer would not make the gun fire automatically

same with the trigger and disconnector

but those are not allowed

my general policy if the Ban Any Thing Fun police recommend i don't do something i heed that warning

the FA BC helps in AR sbr's and pistols that have a timing issue, the added weight helps slow down the BCG.

Can't be full auto unless your lower has a sear pin installed. Extra small hole in your lower, right above safety selector hole.

M16 carrier will not make your AR 15 go full auto.
It is legal to use and buy/sell M16 carriers.
If your AR is over gassed the M16 carrier will help slow the cycle a bit. Some need the H buffer also to aid in the slowing down process.

Incorrect. DIAS, M16 bolt and trigger group and you're good to go.

Of course there's more to it, your correct. I just pointed out the most obvious just by a visual inspection from the outside. Just noticed i cut and pasted a airsoft lower, dang they copy just about everything nowadays.
