Hey gang,

I am a complete n00b when it comes to AR's, all my experience comes from the pistol and revolver side, S&W, Beretta, Ruger...

Without getting into the best, accurate, most cost effective... AR, I am interested in learning more about them. Is there a book or 2 or web sites that would be a good place to start? How they work, pieces, parts, what makes them tick...

Thanks in advance
Rick

I am not saying he knows all, just a different response than some.. great debating :)

What do you want todo with it? it will depend if you go 14.5", 16", 20" 24" barrel, then the type of gas system, or piston even..''great reading here on calguns, if you decide to got short, m4carbine.net is great, also check out www.caprc.com many former calgunners there who are super knowledgable about long range, and reloading too :)
