It's Liberty's bottom of the line, and it's about as cheap as you'll get a real safe for. You can compare it to other safes at Liberty's web page - http://www.libertysafenorcal.com. Liberty's quality is good.

Liberty's prices don't include delivery while Costco's do, so that's a pretty durn good price, and really does appear to be $200 off.

The only real concerns I can see is that it's small, the fire rating is mediocre, and it's only got active bolts on 1 side, but once it's bolted down, it'll keep the kids and tweakers out, which is what most lower-end real safes are good for.

I purchased the same safe from Costco. Cool thing is that they delivered it all the way inside, so I didn't have to worry about that.
It serve's it's purpose, but it is a little small though.( Or maybe there are just too many guns:D )

I'm sorry but I don't understand that sentence. There must be something wrong with my computer screen, it has some gibberish on it.

Well, the good thing about Costco is that you have 6 months to try it out and return it for a full refund. But it's going to a pain to take it a back there without some help.

I personally bought a safe from costco which was for $1,000

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10048663&search=safe&Sp=S&Mo=25&cm_re=1-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&N=0&whse=&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=safe&Ntt=safe&No=5&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

It an electronic lock on it (where I can put a number with at least 6 digits on it). The fire rating on it is pretty darn good so I put other important documents in there also.

If you got the room, I'd go for this bigger one. You never know how many guns you will further buy and important stuff you need to put in it, so an addtional $300 investment will get you maximum space for the buck. Also, if someone wants to steal this big safe, it's pretty heavy (like 600 lbs) and is going to take at least 4 men to do it.

IF it's in your price range and size... It's better than not having a safe. Think of it that way.

hey does that $100 in home delivery include going up stairs in a condo? Because if it is, then it's a damn good price for me!
