Hey all. I guess I shall post the ever so seen HI I BE NEW WHERE CAN I SHOOT! post.

I am fairly new to the San Diego region, and had been shooting at orosco with my 10/22 until it had been shut down. I am about to have two full sized rifles in my possession and am looking for a nice long area to go shoot paper at for a good price. So whats new withe everyone?

Welcome to a squid from a former squid.

Along with the other ranges... check out P2K in El Cajon. It can be a drive depending on where you're driving from but it's a nice and safe indoor range.

Thanks for the welcomes, and I hope my fellow Squids are having fun!

I have been taking my 10/22 over to American Shooting Center(www.gotammo.com) but I just cannot seem to quite dig the confined spaces. That and it just seems really dark, and with having an Astigmatism in my right, makes it kind of hard to see that damnable gold bead front sight. I E-mailed P2K about shooting my soon to be acquired Mosin at their range, but have stuck to their guns in telling me that steel-core ammunition is armor piercing and therefore illegal to shoot or own. When i get both my Mosin and K31, I will more than surely head out and grab my membership at SBRGC.

Again, thanks for the welcoming!

P2K said this??

Yes, It was Via E-mail though. so it may differ from if I were to go in in person. I may just suck up the gas cost and go to SBRGC since they only disallow tracer rounds.

South Bay rod & Gun costs $75/yr and offers a 300yd rifle range and unlimited range time. At project 2000 you pay by the hour and are limited to 100yds for rifle shooting.

Yeah, more than likely I will apply for membership at SBRGC, though it is about an hours drive away, I have not heard anything bad but some of the scheduling.
