Just for folks pursuing a ccw or can an average Joe with no intentions on ccw attend a class?

The ones I've looked into seem to be open to anyone.

In my county it is between you and the trainer, no recommendation by the cops needed.

All the classes I have been to were a fee based service provided by a private business and the classes were all open to the public.

Have you seen this section of the forum CCW Training Announcements ?

Thanks for the replies. I did glance thru the training announcements but didn't see one or my county. Solano. Although there are some listed on the solano county memo that was emailed to me along with the ccw app.

I wish there was a class you can take to help you with a good cause statement. I know some folks would be intersted in it.

Good cause statements have been posted for your county.

Have you seen this thread? Solano -- Good Cause statements available (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=352810)

Yes I have. Although my only reason is pretty much the hit or miss of statements which is protection for my family and myself, and the alarming rise of violent crimes in my neighborhood. My job is at a hospital and I am not LE, CO, etc, so those are out of the question. Only part missing on my app is the gc statement. Any pointers for an ordinary law abiding citizen? Any help would greatly be appreciated. =)
