first post n all so i just thought i'd say hi. i recently bought a M&P9 and Remington 870 at the same time as my first guns. so far i love the M&P but i haven't had a chance to take the shotgun out. can anybody suggest a good range to go to for just firing off some shells? i dont really want to try clay shooting my first time out (i've never shot a shotgun before) and the two indoor ranges i know of don't allow shotguns.

Riverside Magnum Range
12391 Sampson St # O
Riverside, CA 92503-4817
(951) 736-1236

They allow shotguns and you can use your own ammo. Just don't go for headshots on the target and blow off the target hangers or shoot the light out or blow chunks of the ceiling off because the owner will be on your @ss.

Gosh, MLS
no one told you that you live a stones throw from two great ranges:
Prado Olymipic and
Raahagues Clays Range. Look them up on the web.

Keep your powder dry,

hey, welcome to the boards!

as max said, you're pretty close to prado. also if you're looking for some training, check out http://civilianarmstraining.com/ . they hold full day classes for handgun, rifle, & shotgun (tactical oriented) for very reasonable prices.

Yeah I've heard of prado (literally, I can hear it from my place) but I thought they were just all skeet/trap? I just want to tear up paper targets with the shotgun.

Also thanks for the links to training, will definitely check those out as I do plan on getting some training for home defense/self defense.
