I recently tried to purchase a hogue grip online only to find that my favorite website (until now) Sportsmansguide.com refused to ship any parts relating to the AR-15 to California.

They take the ban on certain models of assault weapons to the extreme and refuse to ship any AR-15 parts or accessories to California, despite the fact that they are legal.

I quickly discovered that another of my favorite websites (until now) CheaperThanDirt.com also has the same policy.

This is of course, their right. However, it is our right not to do business with them. I strongly encourage you to not only boycott these two websites, but to write to them and to complain.

These sites have great pricing. Until now, they have always had great service. Perhaps if they realize how many people they are hurting with this stupid and unecessary policy, we can change their minds.

Hopefully we'll be able to change their minds. Because they have great products at great prices, if only they would sell them to us!

Thanks, and good luck!

P.S. Found the grip elsewhere, but I had to pay more!

I've heard that Sportsmans Guide is under new ownership and is pissing off other people, just not Californians. About 2 years ago I argued with them about not shipping M1 Garand parts to CA because their lawyers classified them as AW parts. I got nowhere.

SG won't even ship an AR sight adjustment tool, after you email them with a link to Kel-Tec's website and a picture of your SU-16.

Good riddance to them. Get a C&R, and the dealer discounted prices at Midway will easily beat anything SG has to offer in firearms.

SportsmansGuide.com and Cheaperthandirt.com have both made a business decision not to sell lots of legal things to Kalifornia or certain Kalifornia counties. We, as consumers, now can make the choice that we don't wish to purchase any of those things they will sell to us from those companies. I consider it voting with my wallet. We should also inform these companies of our decision. We probably won't change their mind, but then again if they changed their policies, I probably won't change mine to patronize them again either.

Trust me folks, there are quite a few people in the free states who are just biding their time, waiting for the big quake to rid them of Kalifornia and all of it's nonsense. In the meantime, they are content to pretend that we don't even exist.

SG and CTD only sell crap anyways, got them off my vendors list long time ago. Midway, TenPercent, Brownell's are pretty much tops on my list now.

I hope you're not talking about the Costa Mesa gun show, the prices there are ridiculous and insane, last show I saw a guy selling a stag upper for $1200 and same upper on Stag's site is $545. Not to mention lights, stocks, or cheap Hong Kong knockoff items at high prices. Only thing the gun show in CM is good for is Ammo if that because with the cover charge... I can get cheaper at Ammo Bros, Bullseye, etc...
