This whole business of drug war guns, grenades, rpgs, etc. coming from the US is ridiculous. There would be nothing stopping a cartel from importing Kalishnikovs by the container load from China. The last time I checked, it is pretty tough to get grenades or automatic AK47s here. Hillary Clinton pushing for another federal ban.

Right...of course this article has nothing to do with what the OP is talking about, as this is obvious illegal importation of FA weapons and explosives, while what the ATF is doing and anti's are screaming about from the rooftops is restricting the law abiding from purchasing legal semi-automatic weapons from law abiding legitimate FFL's.

This proves the point even more. If they confiscated every gun in the United States this would still have happened. Illegal smuggling of untracable automatic weapons, and explosives from the Middle East, China, or South America is the problem, not semiautomatic rifles, and pistols from the U.S. Not to mention that many of the weapons used were sold by the U.S. to the Mexican military.

It seems that people in the media still don't understand the difference between automatic, and semiautomatic firearms.

If you really want gernades, I'm sure that you can find more than a few FFL who can legally sell them. They are NFA items and require a $200 tax stamp for each one. Last I knew, you could get them as cheap as $50 each plus the NFA tax stamp. Of course, these are all registered in the NFA registry and none of these has shown up in Mexico. BTW, you'ld need to keep them stored in a more NFA friendly state than CA.

They're going to wear this story out until we kick the anti gun complex out of media and government. It's rather tiresome having to wait, wait, and wait some more for enough people on our side to get pissed off enough to want to do what it takes to vanquish this nonsense instead of keeping on playing footsie with it.

we couldn't agree more ... I should have been more transparent with my sarcasm:rolleyes:

what it proves is criminals are everywhere, they don't follow the laws, and we should be able to protect ourselves as there is no way to identify this suprise enemy prior to being attacked...

Criminals everywhere have Grenades. Not that San Diego is far from Mexico or anything. Gun Control Legislation will not deter this.

I'm more interested in where they got their steroids. They must be pretty ripped if they can hurl burned vehicles and blocked streets. Vehicles alone was pretty noteworthy, but just how does one throw a street?

Imagine the head of the drug smuggling sinaloa cartel riding his multi million dollar bomb proof, armored humvee, fresh from inspecting a dc-10 loaded with 8 tons of cocaine. He turns to his drug smuggling logistics expert and says,"I want you to go to Bob's Sporting Goods in Pima, Arizona and obtain for me a tech 9. I understand Bob is lax with his federal paperwork." That scenario is nonsensical!the combined drug cartels profits equal 1/10 of mexicos gross national product. I think they are going to link themselves with an equal profit center- ruthless black market arms traders. The same type of traders who supply columbian narco terrorists and african civil wars. people like Vikort Bout. google that name. the indictment of vikort Bout

I always love the news pics of Ak RPK PKM and RPG's that look fresh from Iraq or Russia and the headline is "guns from America", even when they show vintage M16 A1's I find it hilarious, since the Zetas all were backed by our Federal Military back in the day, and not gun shows.

Maybe there is an Arms Bizzare in Mesa-dishu, AZ !!
