Is there any hunting about 5-15 minutes north of Sacramento city limits along 99? I was traveling along 99 this morning and there seemed to be a great deal of trucks and suvs parked along various side and dirt roads.
thanks,
Sam

They are hunting ducks and geese. This is the last weekend of the season, so everyone is out. Typically, leasing a rice blind is $1,000 to $3,000 per person, depending upon the history of the blind. It's all private property, so this is about the only option close to town. State and federal refuges are open to the public, so that is the other option a bit further away. It's 4:15 am right now, and I'm off to shoot some geese...:D

Sam - Golden Ram has some blinds in that area (I know they have some on Riego Road which is off 99) but ^^^nailed it.

Did it sound like a war zone out there?

I was up near Yuba City today, and unfortunately no. It was eerily quiet around us. Not a lot of bird traffic in the area today.

I hunted in Colusa county on Saturday and it was pretty heavy.
