M1A 20 shots from prone with South African. Why am I always posting the biggest groups in the thread? :) Don't other crappy shooter's take pics :p ?

A couple of my groups from my AR. These are the average 10 shot groups, not the best ones.

Mine are 100 yards, and all the others should be as well.

Are these AR15 groups? I got the M1A but what are you guys using? Twist rate, Ammo, etc

Hard to get MOA out of iron sights.

My groups were "created" by the rifle in my avatar. Using a 20" bull barrel from M1S (a "bottom feeder" company as bweise so fondly likes to call it. I'm pretty darn happy with what I got.)

Back to the group, the upper is a 1/9 twist firing WWB.

Where's all the unbenched targets? Don't tell me everyone's being a wuss :p :p . Just want to empasize, I'm just kidding. I don't care how you shoot as long as you're safe and have fun.

Miine are 100 yard groups out of my Varmit rig. 18 in Sabre defence barrel, JP free float fore arm, 4.5x14 Leupold with Varmit Rectical. Bullet and load are listed in the pic. This rifle will hold 3 in groups at 400 meters.

2in groups are about the best I can do with my M1a with iron sites at 100. My eyes are not what they use to be.

This was my best group, 2nd time out with my AR:

I know, not extraordinary, BUT...

I'm only going to get better, right??? :D

I'm 44 now, and I really think my eyes are the limiting factor.

My annual eye appointment with the eye-guy is next month. I was going to bring up the subject of shooting/near-sightendness and see if he has any suggestions or glasses/diopter combinations that would maybe help me to shoot better...

Am I correct in my assumption that out of the 3 reference points involved in shooting (rear aperture, front post, target), the last 2 are the most important?

My Rem700VS (308) box stock except for a 2 1/2lb trigger 200yds benched, 39.5gr Varget 168gr SMK Leupold 3-9X 50mm the last shot was the low 10 at 6 o'clock ( I blinked as I pulled the trigger)

^^ Where is number 10? ^^Heheh, it's there... Look at the hole closest to 6 o'clock, just inside the outer line of the 10-ring. 2 rounds through that one. If you look closely, you can tell it's a little bigger than the others. When I went out to retrieve that target I also thought, "WTF!!!", until I looked closer.

I don't usually shoot at 100yd targets so my group prints a little high in this pic...

Rifle: Serbu BFG-50
Cartridge: .50bmg (750gr AMAX over 220gr VV20N29, IMI primer)
