Got to love Ronnie Barrett, I wish the other companies out there would step up and start fighting back.

You know, in the past I was pretty neutral on Barrett. I know he did the whole, "No .50s for the people, no .50s for the LEOs". That was cool and all, but I thought people made him into a icon when he really didn't stick his neck out too much. The state already screwed his .50 sales so the miniscule amount of .50s he might sell to CA or their agencies wouldn't hurt him any. I liked what he did, but some people I think made too big of a deal out of it.

Well, with this letter, I really like Ronnie Barrett. This in no way can be construed as a marketing scheme. Mr. Barrett, thank you for writing such a great letter. Thank you for carring about California. Now why don't you make a good quality .308 lower that takes AR10 uppers and then you will be a true California diety. :D

Ronnie Barrett is a great guy. Not only did he stop selling .50s to the LEOs in CA. After the LAPD used an AW version of his .50 to argue in favor of AB50, he told them he wouldn't even service or provide spare parts for their Barrett rifles.

Ronnie Barrett for President!

Ronnie Barrett truly has the biggest cajons of any gun manufacturer in this nation! I would like to see all gun manufacturers find their cajons and join his ban on CA govt sales.

I know very little about him, but he sounds like a stand up guy. I even enjoyed the letter to the U.S. Ambassador at the U.N.

I've bought, well, almost all of Barrett's rifles. Mostly on the merits, but partly due to the nature of the man behind them.

He's already sold all (~150 I heard) of the M82A1-CA .50BMG rifles he'll ever sell under current law. He could walk away and forget about it without much consequence. Yet here he is, sticking his neck out a little by strongly opposing DOJ's chosen course of action.

My respect for the man grows.

+1 to that. If all gun manufacturers followed Barrett's example, I'm pretty sure gov't agencies would be screaming bloody murder and have something done.

You can voice your support of Ronnie Barrett by

(1) giving some $$ to the NRA in his honor, and

(2) buying an M468 6.8SPC rifle. It's off-list and can readily be rendered into CA-legal form for importation, like the S&W M&P15 currently is.

I always liked him and appreciated the effort he's put into a state that most outsiders laugh at from the sidelines.

I really wish I could have afforded to buy one of his rifles before the .50BMG ban. I'm hoping to get one in the future in a different caliber.
