From the San Fernando Police Bulletin recently posted, I noticed they cited PC 171b regarding public buildings and no firearm possession.

So I want to confirm my understanding of the Penal Code.

If I am Locked Unloaded Conceal Carry, I could not bring it into any public building

"171b. (a) Any person who brings or possesses within any state or local public building..."

An exemption would be only if I had a Pc12050

"(3) A person holding a valid license to carry the firearm pursuant to Article 3 (commencing with Section 12050) ..."

This in essence means Libraries, Community Centers, DMVs, City Halls, Corporate Yards, County facilities, etc... are a gun free zone unless you have a CCW then all is well.

Since I live in Los Angeles County that is pretty much moot until Calguns persuades Sherriff Baca to issue permits.

PS Direct link to statute

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/waisgate?WAISdocID=98881312578+3+0+0&WAISaction=retrieve

So on my list to be gun and ammo free, within all public buildings, Post Offices and Parking Lots, School Grounds and Parking Lots.

Are there any others I am missing?

PS Too bad Los Angeles County will be one of the last to fall to shall issue CCW :(

Thank you.
