all of the costco safes I see go on sale have the electronic locks. Do any of the dial lock safes go on sale? (in the $500 range)

Walmart. Go to their website and they usually have a decent deal on a dial safes. When I got mine it was also $1 shipping from the store to anywhere inside my house.

Always worth a look to check out property auctions at nearby military bases.
Picked up a 600+ lb 2 drawer safe for $50 fifteen years ago in Port Hueneme.

same reason you dont see VHS tape players much anymore. :43: I can open my elct safe in 3 seconds. try that with a dial. all the dials I have tried I hated.

Let's try that test after an EMP and see who wins.

If I'm home my safe is unlocked, when I leave the guns go inside and it gets locked. Having to spend 30 seconds opening my safe is not an issue. I also keep a handgun in a wall safe that takes a key and is fast and easy to open.

Yes, Lowe's carries them. I bought one. It also has a key incase you space out. They work well.

dial locks can be spun too and not work. I've read that elect locks are actually more dependable in the long run. except maybe in an EMP. but to each thier own, I am happy with the elect lock.

If EMP happend and I am home then my lock is usuallu open. and not all my eggs are in one basket anyways.
