Their weakness is that they have next to no actual members that work towards their goal - they only have theories and money.

The NR.A., love 'em ot hate 'em is made up of millions of members that donate time, money and effort to defeat gun control efforts - the anti's have spokesman and money, that's it.

You can spread around money in politics - that's one thing - getting out the vote is a whole different kettle of fish and that's where our power lies.

From the article:

This creates a direct challenge to the Joyce Foundation, whose recent directors have included President Barack Obama and his senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett.

Hmm...interesting. :whistling:

We should get some cash together and put ALL corporations in America on notice! An ad in the Wall Street Journal perhaps?

"Donate a single dime to the Joyce Foundation, and you can permanently forget about receiving a single dime from ME. - American Gun Owner"

Since these gun control idiots want to take away our 2A rights I think it's only fair that they give up their 1A rights and STFU!

And so, the never ending battle of wits between the enlightened and the ignorants rages on.

If they really wanted to stop violence, they would focus on keeping the kids in the Great Lakes region region in school. What a completely misguided organization

She plans new efforts to tap a “silent majority” she believes favors more restrictive gun laws, particularly hunters. “They can be useful partners, credible partners when talking about issues like high-capacity magazines and .50-caliber rifles.

"Silent Majority"?

Yea....just another way of saying "We can't find enough people who actually support us, so instead of being funded by the people like the big bad evil NRA, we're funded by a single person! Oh and this person didn't even earn the fortune, it was inherited"

You forgot to mention how they get anywhere because there are like minded officials serving in public office. To an extent they get to be insiders or at least they have the ear of those in office. Compare the relationship and the talking points of the Brady Campaign and that of our esteemed antigun legislators in California. Likewise, the Joyce Foundation and Obama are on the same page. Him being a former chairman makes it all the more obvious.

You bet. There is no end to politician wannabes who are willing to roll over on the COTUS to satisfy special interests.

Likewise, the Joyce Foundation and Obama are on the same page. Him being a former chairman makes it all the more obvious. It wasn't obvious enough in November '08. The national mainstream "conservative" big names didn't even mention it, and still don't. They never seem to want to throw the really big punches.

we live in a great country where they disarm the honest citizen but ignore the armed criminal. Courts add jail time for the use of a gun and then release criminals early because of the lack of jail space. Politicians use private/governmental bodyguards paid for by taxpayer dollars but you are not allowed to carry a gun to protect yourself. A few people die by gunfire and new harsher restrictions under the guise of law are implimented by politicians. But let cigarettes, cars, and even doctor's mistakes kill hundreds of times more people and nothing is done and no law changes. Anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
