I'd just like to confirm.... the "OPS INC Brake/Collar" (silencer collar) is *just* a muzzle brake, and it is NOT a flash hider, right?

Thanks.

Correct, it is a brake. Look at the diameter where the bullet exits, roughly the same as the caliber. If it was a flash hider that would be much wider to allow the gases to burn.

I don't have the "physical" item.... I am just considering buying it...

I am thinking about ADCO's SPR Mod1 upper assembly.... w/ OPS INC brake/collar, DD 12.0 handgard, WhiteOakArmament's 18" 1:7 SPR barrel....

"MK12 Mod1 Style with OPS INC brake/collar"

Probably will get a WO-tuned RRA 2-stage with it too...

Any comments? On the particular SPR build by ADCO/WOA.....

hope to make something like this at the end...

PS. Who else do SPR builds??

CWS builds SPR to your liking/specs, have a couple barrels ready to start and have few builds from Noveske on the way.

The OPS INC collars are hard to come by don't if those are the real deal or an imitation....

I think the OPS Inc brakes are $175, and they don't provide much benefit without the matching suppressor. That's a lot of money just for looks, but if that's what you want, more power to ya.

JTAC Supply http://www.jtacsupply.com also builds Mk12 clones, and of course one of the more noted builders is MSTN http://www.mstn.biz. MSTN is considerably more expensive but they seem to have the most clients among active-duty folks in the sandbox.

It helps to spend some time browsing the Equipment Exchange (new uppers section) on ar15.com.
