Do you guys think a .270 110 grain triple shock traveling at 2500-2600 good enough for deer in California? How about a .270 130 grain traveling at 2400-2500 fps? How about on feral hogs?

I use a 130 gr .270 win to take all CA game. I took a hog this spring that never even heard the shot ;) Head shots rock for anchoring game.My .270 leaves the barell at nearly 3000 fps. It gives me a 300 yard point blank range when sighted in at 1 in high at 100.

You bet it's enough. Go practice, without a bench and have a safe trip.
Good Luck!

6.8 SPC is what I got. Unfortunately the 110 will only push at max 2700 fps. I want to put my fixed mag Vulcan to good use.

Should work fine.

It should be perfectly fine for the deer. I also don't see a problem with using those loads on a pig. Might as well give it a shot.

yep your idea sounds good. i use a 6.5x55 sweedish mauser and it drops pigs and deer with no problems. a 270 will do you fine. remember good shot placement is always the key. happy hunting.

Anything the 250-300 Savage can do the 6.8SPC can do.
