As the title says, I have the above Savage and want to change the stock out. Any ideas? Any links for me to look at? I am up for suggestions here:D .

What do you mean how simple is it?

You can buy the McMillan A5 straight from McMillan if you want. If you get an adjustable length of pull or adjustable cheek piece, the stock will be over 500 bucks (closer to 700 with the adjustability and the bedding service if you have them do it, etc). You should pillar bed it and glass bed it (or have someone, or McMillan, do it for you).

Call them up and tell them what you want. I went with a plain A-5 in black with heavy fill and a Decelerator pad.

I recently got rid of my Savage 10 in .223. I was a great rifle, it's in the KC highlights add on the front of the quad. I would suggest going with the Savage Shooters stocks and trigger. They had good service, resonable prices, and some real great products. I was very happy with the stock and trigger.
