Especially Bill Hodges and Paul Nelson who attended the DOJ hearing Aug 16th. Bill H. testified that the Springfield 03 can conceivably be covered by these new regs (remember the 40-round semi-auto Pederson device? See http://ammoguide.com/?catid=102) and Paul N. worked the room and introduced the new volunteers to the MC network.

Alameda NRA Members' Council...

...if you live in Alameda County, HELP THESE FOLKS OUT!

And thanks to these guys AGAIN (as well as Mary Nelson, Paul Ns wife - an officer in the Alameda MC) for ALSO coming to the preparatory meeting (with Chuck, Ed, Paul, Sac. Leg. staff, calgunners and lil' ol' me) at NRA's Sacramento office the night before.

In fact, Paul N. and Bill H. weren't asked to attend the actual hearing until the night before, but you can see both came through like real patriots! It was rough - back to the Bay Area Tuesday after midnight and then up early enough to get back to Sac by 8:30 next morning.

Volunteer effort like that truly moves the ball forward. If you weren't one of the "Screamin' 25", come join us next time!

I will say in general, I think the thing that's been great about the OLL phenomenon is that it has made us all feel like there's something we can do other than be kicked.
