One open-carry activist, Robert Cowdell, told the newspaper that his group considered postponing the meeting because of the Arizona shooting, but went ahead with it anyway to make the case that "guns level the playing field."

Arntzen said a similar protest is set for Jan. 20 at a local pizza parlor. She praised the state legislature for taking up the open-carry bill, but said the Brady Campaign would not wait for lawmakers to crack down on guns in restaurants.

Was the arizona shooter open carrying ? NO

Have there been any illegal shootings by open carriers ? NO

Will prohibiting open carry reduce crime ? NO

Obvisoubly the solution then is to ban open carry 1!!

Here's how the victim disarmers actually think:
Would the Arizona shooter have been deterred had anyone present been open carrying ? Possibly

Have there been any justified self-defense shootings by open carriers ? YES

Will prohibiting open carry increase crime ? YES

Obviously the solution then is to ban open carry 1!!

That is a very accurate depiction of my experience in trying to converse with them. It is frustrating to deal with people who will admit the facts but are too afraid to see beyond their fears.

What a great article on unloaded open carry. Carry on with the cause. Walk boldly, but speak persuasively. Share the common notion that you have the right to defend yourself.

Like Bwiese once stated, it helps to be dressed in a sharp suit or like an intelligent businessman while open carrying, instead of a Tacticool Mall Ninja Nubjob wearing camo and a tactical vest out in the urban sheeple public.

The pictures show this UOC group in professional dress. And the Brady Nutz Protesters looked like they were agitated at the UOC's slacks, white shirts and shoes with a shine.

Way to go fellas. Keep on the Unloaded Open Carry movement in a professional, clean and presentable manor.

Keep the Brady Nutz Bunch afraid of their shadows.....

Nice, now that's real UOC! That's definitely something I'd love to get involved with, let me know when events are going!

so one guy pulls in a crowd. Then other guys pull, shoot, over-penetrate or plain miss, and we have ourselves a good ol' fashion shootout. Who pulled first? Who knows? All potential witnesses are dead.

The anti gun rhetoric is really getting out of control. I think we need a million man march on Washington, and also one on Sacramento. The anti rhetoric really needs to be pushed back in a big way with a show of just how many of us there are out here in the real world where the average person lives. Politicians live in a bubble, we do not.

The Million Man idea is a figure of speech obviously. The idea is to do it in a fashion that has mega impact. Coordination with all major gun rights organizations and politicians who support gun rights. Manufactures of guns as well. The setting could be anywhere large enough and equipped with resources needed. The large network media is a major key player. The media would have to be folded into the event using all those with contacts that could get 'them there'.

Those that point fault at or always have reason not to organize such a mass event should step aside and let the momentum build,

It is frustrating to deal with people who will admit the facts but are too afraid to see beyond their fears. That's because they're lying about it being a fear. It isn't. It's a prejudice.

Aren't some of the senior members here pretty much against marches and other stuff Like that? After reading some their comments months ago, I got the idea they felt marches don't really help.
