The DOJ meeting is at 9AM. I'd hope to be there, parked, sooner.

Anyone have a good idea what time I should leave Redwd City to get there with time to spare??

Anyone know of relatively nearby parking to the DWR bldg? I don't care if it's paid parking lot, I just don't wanna have to run out and feed a meter and/or move my vehicle.

It runs close to 6 hrs. I've driven it several times when I deer hunt up there. I live in Oroville, CA

Below is the link to public parking garages that I printed out. I have looked all over and still can't find out if being there at 09:00 is mandatory, any idea?

It should take you no more than 3.5 hours from Redwood to Sac. from SJ to Sac on a normal day with no traffic takes around 2 hours. You will face some morning traffic near Sac area.

I personally would say leave about 6am. when my family goes up to Tahoe, it generally takes 2 hours to get to sacto (we start in Cupertino), and you want some time to spare...

Hello people. He said Redwood CITY not Redwood.

It should take about 1.5 hours; depends a bit on traffic since you'll be arriving in Sac around rush hour.

From San Jose, going 680-80 will take 2 hours without traffic. I made the trip two months ago for a friday meeting down at the convention center. Left the house at 5:30, pulled in at 7:45am.

You will hit some sacramento rush hour at 8am, so plan on 2 1/2 hrs if you want some wiggle room (not much). I will give myself 3 hrs from the south bay.

Google puts it at about 2 hours.

Not sure if they take into account the rush hour traffic or not.

Personally I think 3 hours is a bit more realistic.

Since the Dept of Water Resources is located near 9th and N st.

There is long term (10 hrs) street parking available. Go here and click the "On Street" parking map

Some is close by, but also 3 blks south on 9th is a lot more space.

Bill,

I was leaving from Redwood City/San Carlos and was planning on 6am. Instead Quark and I are going up to my boat in Discovery Bay tonight and then doing the Stockton to Sacto leg in the AM.

See you there. I'll be wearing a tan suit with a yellow and blue striped tie.
