FWIW...

Dealer price is same as retail. Critical cost is shipping. So far, best deal is still Guatemalan at AIM.

1. What's AR ammo?

2. That URL is a link for changing your email status and settings for your Midway account.

How does it shoot? Is that ammo reliable? All I know is that they don't look pretty, but as long as they work, I may be interested in getting some from AIM.

It's good ammo, but it is a bit downloaded. It's not 5.56 NATO spec SS109.

J&G has a better price than Midway's sale.

It is anemic (less powder).

"I'm sorry, I don't understand what that means..."downloaded"...could u please explain."

Means less powerful. It will cycle an AR but it is not Milspec SS109..Means its a few hundred fps slower then current NATO loads..

is that good or bad? Does that mean I'll get more Failures to feed/fire?

It could mean more fail to feed (i.e., cycle, extract/eject, etc.).

[Fail-to-fire is a firing pin or hammer/fire-control system problem separate from anemic ammo.]

It's well-known that the 'British Aerospace'-marked SS109 62gr Brit milsurp ammo did not cycle some quality, working AR15s properly. I suspect this other ammo may be similar - since both are apparently for the lame-arsed Brit SA80 rifle which has had major problems and required weaker ammo.

If you use this ammo and start having problems in your AR, don't start fixing your rifle ;)
