I just got off the phone with AIM surplus. I finally broke down and bought my first Mosin Nagant 91/30. I went ahead and got a hex version. I hope I made a good choice with this purchase. Everyone has a mosin, right?
Hahaha.

As soon as I get it I will post pictures.

I hope I get a Tula.

I got two from Aim a couple of months ago. Both Hex receivers, a 1928 and a 1934. They were in fantastic condition, beautiful rifles. I paid the extra $10 each for hand pick. Came in a week via UPS right to my door. Regards

Enjoy your Mosin. They breed in the safe I swear they do. I started with one and now have seven with more on the list.
Now youll need a round receiver......and an M91......M44, M38, oh and the snipers gotta have a few of them.......and then theres the Finns........

Once you start on the Finns you are truly done for. But in a good way!

Collecting Mosins is like eating Lucky Charms.

You generally like the cereal, but the marshmallow puffs are da'Bomb.
Before you know it, your buying more boxes of cereal because you can't get enough.

Is that all you do in the C&R threads? Comment on how many rifles were made without going into any detail on a specific rifle?

There are some mosins that are extremely rare, and some of them have been known to show up at Big 5....:whistling:

My 91/30 from AIM (round receiver 1942) is a beautiful rifle. I intend to do much more business with them as I do feel they are one of the better/best companies out there at the moment.

mosins are as rare as you make them. to me it doesn't matter what year/receiver/markings, blah blah blah, as long as it looks pretty and shoots just as well. i got a lowly round receiver Izhevsk for 60 bucks at big5, the numbers match, the bore is tits, and it shoots well. ditto with my m44. still want an m38 and a Finn or 3, but i don't have the money, time, or safe space to collect every kind of mosin. there's other rifles too. i like arisakas, carcanos, mausers, etc...and i know i can't have every year/variant, but on a limited budget and room, i'm doing alright. sure there's many here in the same boat. best bet is to get what you can, when you can and you'll see your collection blossom nicely.

This is why Ive waited so long to finally aquire a Finn Mosin. Im am sad  to say my first Finn Mosin is on its way. 1927 M28 Ski Trooper. 1 of 6000 made. Im doomed, its over...get the fork:D
