Just curious.. would sure be cheaper than having the barrel machined for a compensator/flash hider.

Great guy and a great product, if you dont want to get the barrel threaded this is a great alternative.

I might have to try it.. my new 15-22 looks naked and I have an extra A2 birdcage laying around.

Please post an update as to the quality and looks of the adapter. Also comment on the mechanics of installing it. If you can post pix, that'd be even better.

My buddy got one for his M&P 22 here:
http://www.tacticool22.com/store/barrel-ends-and-converters/tbe2-sw-mp15-22-threaded-barrel-end.html

It looked okay, kinda chunky (sorry don't have any pix) -- which is why I had mine threaded instead.

Looks pretty simple to me. slip-on fit with a standard set screw. depending on how much play they allow between the barrel and adapter ID, that's basically going to determine how offset the hole threw the threaded section is to your actual barrel not that it really matters much with a flash suppressor.

I ended up with the plain barrel as well, but as soon as i get some "me" time off my honey-do list, i'll be making a barrel wrench, pulling the barrel off and threading it. If there's enough plain barrel MP22 owners out there and one of them has a lathe at home maybe you could drum up a "barrel threading party"? :D

Anyone try one of these? If you have, can you say how well the fit is and post pics if possible?

Tacticool22 is an awesome guy, makes quite a few awesome things for the 15-22. The Barrel Nut Wrench is an essential tool for your 15-22, imo.
